There are various reasons why students find referencing confusing. The first and most common reason is the rigid formatting rules like comma placements or italicisation. Second is that students often have to memorise different styles for different subjects (APA for psychology, Harvard for business). It is best for them to use free tools like Zotero or Mendeley because they automatically generate in-text citations and reference lists in seconds. You can use web-based tools like ZoteroBib or the free Cite This For ME platform that allow you to paste a URL or ISBN and instantly format the citation. And when you are short on time then it is best to connect with professional university assignment writing services from professionals.
