2019 Cerato transmission feeling jerky – flush or something worse? (12 views)

I've had my Cerato since new and it's been rock solid up until maybe the last month or so, but now I'm starting to notice some weird behavior from the automatic transmission. It's not slipping or anything dramatic, but when I'm driving in stop and go traffic, especially after the car has warmed up, the shifts feel really jerky and sometimes it seems like it's holding onto gears longer than it should. I checked the service history and I'm at about 75,000 kms now, and I honestly can't remember if the transmission fluid has ever been changed because I always just did the basic oil changes at the dealership and never really asked about the gearbox. I know Kias can be sensitive to fluid condition and I'm hoping it's just a case of old fluid causing the issues rather than something internal starting to fail. I found a place that offers Kia Rio and Cerato transmission fluid flush Abu Dhabi and from what I can tell they actually use the proper spec fluid and equipment to do a full flush instead of just a drain and fill. I'm thinking of taking it there because I've heard that with these CVT style transmissions, using the wrong fluid or doing a partial change can cause more problems than it solves. Has anyone here had a similar experience with their Cerato and did a fluid flush sort things out, or should I be bracing myself for a bigger repair bill? Really hoping it's just maintenance related because I was planning to keep this car for a few more years.
