Is it normal for my AC to drain my car battery faster here or am I imagining things? (11 อ่าน)

Moved to Dubai about eight months ago and I swear my car battery has aged like five years in that time. Last summer was brutal and I basically had the AC on full blast every single drive, even short trips to the grocery store. Now I’m noticing the engine cranks a bit slower in the mornings, and my mechanic mentioned the battery voltage is dropping faster than he’d expect for a unit that’s only two years old. He said something about the heat and the constant load from the cooling system just wrecking the chemistry inside but I honestly don’t know enough about it to tell if that’s legitimate or he’s just trying to upsell me a replacement. I ended up poking around online to see what other people here do and came across amaroncarbattery.ae which had some decent explanations about heat tolerance and battery types, but I’m still not convinced my issue is purely climate related. Could a weak alternator be compounding the problem or is this genuinely just what happens when you run AC non stop in 45 degree weather? Curious if anyone else has had their battery give up way earlier than expected since moving here.
