Cayenne due for major service – dealer or independent specialist? (8 อ่าน)

1 เม.ย 2569 19:44

I've got a 2018 Cayenne that's coming up on the big 80,000 km service, and I'm trying to figure out the smartest move here. The dealership quote is pretty eye-watering, but I also know these cars can be finicky and I don't want to cheap out and end up with issues down the road. I've been looking for a certified porsche service center that isn't the official dealer but still has the proper diagnostic equipment and technicians who actually know these cars inside out. I found Royal Prince Auto Care through some forum digging and it seems like they specifically mention Porsche major service with the right fluids and procedures, which gives me some confidence. I'm trying to weigh whether the savings are worth going independent or if the peace of mind from the dealer stamp in the service book matters when it comes time to sell. The car has been rock solid so far and I want to keep it that way, so I really need a place that's going to be thorough and not cut corners. Has anyone here done their major service at an independent specialist and been happy with the quality, or is this one of those things where you just suck it up and pay the dealer premium? Would love to hear from other Porsche owners who've been through this decision.
